Ladies and Gents, 100 years ago today Woodrow Wilson signed the National Park Service Organic Act into existence. Their goal was conservation of America's great natural landscapes. One of the great outcomes was the preservation and creation of some of the absolute best places to ride in our great Country. The smell of fresh evergreen and petrichor in the air, along with blue skies and bright sun shining through the trees come to mind. The calming, serene rides are that spiritual element that makes riding a truly unique experience. We're lucky, in Missouri, to have such a devoted conservation mentality. Floating the Current and Jack's Fork Rivers are some of my fondest memories. All of these things to say Happy Birthday National Park Service, and when you get the chance to visit one of these treasures make sure to appreciate all the hard work that goes into maintaining that land.
