Ultem is polyetherimide a high-performanceamorphous thermoplastic known for its exceptional heat resistance (continuous use up to ~340°F/170°C), high strength and stiffness, excellent chemical resistance, flame retardancy with low smoke generation, and good dimensional stability.

It is semi-transparent (amber-colored) and available in various grades, including glass-filled for added rigidity and FDA-compliant or biocompatible versions.  Common uses include:  Aerospace — aircraft interiors, structural components, ducts, and brackets (due to FST compliance and high strength-to-weight ratio).

Material:  9085 Polyetherimide (highest grade of Ultem available anywhere)
