The Qualities of Lambskin
The Lambskin we have access to currently falls in line with some of the other actual exotic hides we've worked with in recent memory and the finish and feel of the hide is frankly too good to not work with. Springtime in Springfield
Spring has sprung at the Anvil Customs Shop, currently located on Park Central Square, just off of historic Rt. 66 in Springfield Missouri. The traditional excitement of nice weather, and lively events are made extra special this year, as we climb our way out of a pandemic lock-down. We've always been more of a "by appointment" type of shop. Seldom do folks want to walk in off the street to buy premium leather goods. One of the things we're always trying to do is to keep folks up to date on the upcoming selection of exotic leathers. This allows you to tell us exactly what type of wallet you want to purchase and means that we have very little waste when we sell as much of a hide as possible. Super Bowl LV Contest Chiefs vs. Buccaneers
It's official, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are headed to the Super Bowl this year! Much to our chagrin the Bucs have home field advantage for the first time in NFL history but we have faith in our boys to get the job done. Ultimately we suspect it'll be an intense game!
To celebrate we're having a contest! The winner will get a whopping $250 Gift Card to our store! All you have to do is predict the winner, and guess the final score(for tie-breakers). We're obviously pretty stoked to see our Chiefs headed to the big game!
Forging and Casting Fundraiser is LIVE
The Forging and Casting fundraiser is live! If you head to that page you'll find a place where you can support/donate towards our goal. We're aiming to get a few new machines this year that will improve the quality of the metal studio. Namely, we're looking at getting a 3D Printer and a Vacuum Sealed Casting Machine. Each of these machines will enable us to more efficiently craft specialized hardware. Currently the forged belt buckles take an exorbitant amount of time to craft, and you can see that reflected in what I have to charge for the belts in order to turn some sort of profit. That being said, when you're a very small team its in everyone's best interest to make things as efficient as possible on the production side of things. Luckily we live in an era where technology makes it much more viable for a small team like ours to make a large selection of items, provided you can afford to purchase said technology. It's a big investment for a small business...
